This is a one-of-a-kind workshop designed specifically for children (Group A for 5-7yrs old,  Group B for 8-10 yrs old). Your child will be trained in three aspects: melody intervals, chord tones in context and contemporary music genres appreciation. By the end of the workshop, your child will be able to identify the differences between Jazz/Blues, Pop Ballads, R&B and Rock styles. You will be introduced to the various types of chords, chord extensions, triads (maj, min, dim, aug) and 7th chords.

Playing by ear isn’t all about the ear, but a good set of ears will certainly help you. Johann Sebastian Bach, the legendary classical composer of the Baroque period was blind. Chords that he listened naturally visualized into different colors and moods in his head. In this workshop, you will learn the importance of identifying chord changes through visualization while understanding the key differences between relative pitch and perfect pitch hearing through effective pitch interval exercises.  You will also learn how to play something out from nothing using common chord progressions.
