Pop Vocal lessons
for adults
Our vocal lessons are suitable for
adults who wish to improve in their singing abilities. Whether you are a
shower singer, karaoke-ist or a vocalist, everyone needs to learn the
correct way of singing. Learn how you can use your diaphragm instead of
your throat while singing. Improve on your pitching, tonal quality and
projection. The good news is singing can be taught. Our vocal lessons focus on the singing practicability rather than passing examinations.
Pop Vocal lessons for adults (administrative information):

Lesson duration: 45/60 minutes
Lessons frequently: 1 lesson per week
Prerequisite: Zero music background

How are our vocal lessons different from other music schools?

Our vocal lessons are for adults. They should be fun, not intimidating nor embarrassing. It takes a lot of courage to sing, unless you are already a good singer. At PBE, we welcome all students, from students who are ‘tone-deaf’ to students who have problems with rhythm. No matter how ‘bad’ your singing is, it is our duty to help.
We testify as a team of teachers with no attitude issues, during piano lessons
This is a peculiar way to depict our friendliness, but the truth is that musicians are well known for their eccentricity. Nevertheless, this is not an excuse for musicians to exhibit any sort of attitude.

During vocal lessons, you will NEVER be coerced to purchase any score sheets, lyrics, microphones or anything of that sort. Most schools do, we don’t. Our teachings and methods have a high value which conveys our message of integrity.
Sing the songs you listen to,
not 'Ba Ba Black Sheep..'
It is important to sing something that you would prefer, may it be Chinese, English, K-Pop, contemporary worship, etc. During the lesson, your vocal teacher may accompany your singing with the piano or guitar. As such, you can experience singing in a LIVE band context instead of karaoke.

For the most part, PBE was never a ‘star-struck’ music school or at least our culture was never about grooming students to be artistes but rather hobbyist musicians. Nevertheless, our brand identity has attracted local celebrities (Chen Xiuhuan, Jeremy Chan, Maxi Lim, Sora Ma, Zhang ZhenHuan) to learn from us and we are really very honored.
We also like to take the opportunity to thank all of our PBE guest artistes and music collaborators we have worked with since 2003.

The lesson(s) that you postponed will be credited as makeup lesson(s) which has a 1 year expiry. You are required to give 3 days advanced notice and 1 day advanced notice for peak and off peak lessons respectively.

Yes, however, you are required to form your own group. For example, you and your friend can enroll together and opt to be in the same class.

Yes, you can purchase a one-time lesson of $65 with no commitments.
For Level 1, the fees are $172 per month
Most students will enroll to Level 2. If you have pitch control problems, you should enroll to Level 1.
Yes, you may enroll to Level 1. We have 101 ways to correct pitch control issues.
Your fees will be prorate accordingly to the exact number of weeks (lessons) left for the month, thus it doesn’t matter which week you enroll.
Your fees will be prorated accordingly for 5 lessons. For example, if your fees is $180 per month (4 lessons), it will be $235 for the particular month with 5 lessons
