10 October 2011 - Promising SME 500 (2012) Award
PBE won the Promising SME 500 Award for the year 2012 by SMBA (Small Medium Business Association) Singapore. The core focus of SMBA is to recognize excellent business practices amongst singapore small medium enterprises. Other winners include prestigious brands such as Adam Khoo Learning Technologies, automobile giant Pinnacle International and ECG Group of Companies, one of Singapore's top property groups.
01 October 2011 - The isle of extemporization concert

For the first time in history, PBE organised an experimental conert featuring only PBE instructors. The idea started with a nightmare about a desolate island with nothing but a majestic grand piano sitting atop a small cliff, pounded by trashing waves. And PBE instructors as prisoners on the island are held captive by a pseudo-matrix of illusionary extremist improvisers. In order to break free and return to the reality, one must reach the highest levels of extemporization to solve the melodic code and diminish the isle of extemporization. It was a successful failure.

13 December 2013 - PBE Incentive Trip to Tokyo, Japan
The Play By Ear staff visited the land of the Rising Sun in Dec 2011. Along with visiting the big Tokyo sights and sounds like Harajuku and Akihabara, there were several gigs at the local jazz watering holes. The freshest sushi and the wildest anime characters made an amazing Japanese experience.
